Villa Haya by Cognition Design Studio in its essence is an intervention project to redesign an existing four Bedroom Villa in Shoranur Town of Kerala. The project aims at a spatial and visual integration of the interior spaces with the exterior by introducing large fenestrations, a sun lit internal garden and wide open balcony spaces. The interior design theme focuses on using minimal, linear elements and white being the predominant color theme while subtle use of wood and grey provides the accent tone. 

The starting point of the architectural design was the living room which was extended to the old car porch while one of the living room walls opens up into the internal garden space. The extensions to the kitchen and living room was made possible by using steel beams for structural reinforcement. The first floor bedroom was converted into a suite room with its own private living and study area.
